TEACHING AND SUPERVISION

My teaching philosophy is simple: pair rigorous conceptual foundations with real-world research immersion.

  • Subject leadership: coordinate Advanced Mathematics and Physics (SFS 4.1-4.5) and have revitalized electromagnetism, quantum optics and nanomaterials modules to align with UTS strategy.
  • Curriculum innovation: co-designed the Bachelor of Advanced Science - Quantum Technology; integrated generative-AI tools into assessments, winning the MAPS Teaching Excellence Award (2024).
  • Research-led learning: supervise nine PhD and multiple Capstone/internship students; undergraduate-authored work has appeared in Advanced Quantum Technologies.

By embedding students in live quantum-photonics projects and modelling inclusive leadership, I cultivate graduates who are technically adept, ethically grounded and industry-ready.
