FUNDED RESEARCH

Research spans interconnected domains: borders and migration (skilled migration, the migrant precariat, refugee settlement, transnational communities); urban futures (social cohesion in diverse cities, informal sport and public space, neighbourhoods, housing and density); and technology and society (algorithm driven platform labour and the gig economy). That breadth reflects my interdisciplinary practice, combining sociology with urban studies, human geography, and policy research.

Committed to research with real-world reach: sustained government advisory work, community partnerships, and regular public commentary ensure that scholarly contributions inform policy and public debate. Primary methodological expertise in qualitative and ethnographic methods, including multi-sited ethnography and mixed-methods designs. Experienced with creative methods and outputs.
