Dr Andrew Heys is the Course Director of the Master of HRM in the Department of Management and an education focused Senior Lecturer at the UTS Business School. Before joining UTS in 2022, Andrew was on Faculty at Macquarie (University) Business School - MQBS - where his last appointment was as Director of International Engagement. Andrew completed his PhD at Macquarie University in 2013, his reseach focussed on the implementation and impact of corporate HR practices in Australasian law firms. Andrew has subsequently supervised doctoral students to completion in complementary areas of research. Andrew also holds a Masters (class 1) in Interntional Studies from Sydney University and a bachelor's degree in political science.

Andrew previously held senior service roles at Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM). He was MBA Director (2015-2018) with oversight for the development, ranking performance and accreditation of what was at the time the #1 ranked MBA in Australia. In addition to his academic work, Andrew also consults selectively to industry in the fields of negotiation, leadership and corporate communication. 

Andrew teaches broadly into UTS postgraduate and undergraduate programs across fields that include HRM, International Business, Future of Work and Organizational Behaviour. He supervises doctoral students and is involved in student mobility and internationalization. Andrew has a passion for modern language and is proficient in Bahasa Indonesia.
