Dr Anne-Marie Eades is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health, the University of Technology, Sydney (2022-current) and before this, Senior Research Fellow, at Curtin University Perth. Dr Eades is a Noongar woman, a registered nurse with a PhD in Public Health. She is a qualitative and public health and health service researcher focusing on Co-design and Indigenous Methodologies. Ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s health and well-being is central with the aim of her research being to keep family and community central to all initiatives to reduce health disparities, Dr Eades passion is focused on improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and families. Following a 25-year career in health, 19 of which focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, in 2011 she transitioned to a research career that has continued with the same focus ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s health and well-being is the focus to keep family and community central to intervention’s aimed at reducing health disparities.
