Antonio Perez is a PhD researcher in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at UTS. With a background in mechatronic engineering and marketing, his work sits at the intersection of immersive technology, neuroscience, physiology and education.

His research investigates how high-performing learners attend, regulate themselves and solve complex spatial problems, and whether these patterns can inform adaptive support for novice learners.

Antonio is particularly interested in the conditions that help people learn with greater confidence, awareness and agency. This interest connects his research with his experience in teaching, coaching and entrepreneurship. Across these areas, his work is guided by a broader question: how can technology and education help people not only perform more effectively, but also learn, grow and flourish?
