BIO

Dr. Ayman Elgharabawy
received a B.S. and a master’s degree from the Biomedical Engineering Dep, Faculty of Engineering,
Cairo University, Egypt, in 2000 and 2015. He received a Computer Engineering
diploma from the Computer Engineering Dep, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Cairo,
Egypt, he worked as a Programmer, software designer and technical architect for 14 years in
many IT Companies (HP, CGI-Logica and Vodafone), his master thesis was in Brain-Computer
Interface using ECoG Signal and published papers in decoding finger flexion using ECoG signal processing and machine learning. He finished
PhD in 2022 in advanced machine learning at, the School of Computer Science, University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He is a research fellow at the
Biological Data Science Institute (BDSI) at the College of Science, Australian National University (ANU). He specialises in Neural network
design (Neuromorphic Computing), preference learning, Bioinformatics and image processing.
