BIO

Dr Barbara Brito Rodriguez is a UTS Visiting Fellow and Veterinary Research Officer NSW DPI (Biosecurity & Food Safety).  

She is interested in supporting the design of animal disease control measures and surveillance using the results of scientific studies. Her research areas are quantitative epidemiology, animal disease modeling, and molecular epidemiology (pathogen genetics) of infectious animal diseases. She is also interested developing advanced skills in epidemiology, statistics, and sequence data analysis, with particular focus in metagenomics.
