BIO
Catherine McElhone is a Research Impact Facilitator within the central Research Office’s Research Knowledge and Insights team, driving strategic and operational initiatives that advance research impact across the institution. Catherine’s role spans impact planning, communication, and evaluation, enabling researchers to demonstrate the societal benefits of their work and ensure research delivers tangible outcomes.
As co-convener of the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) Research Impact Special Interest Group, Catherine contributes to shaping national conversations on research impact, fostering best practices and capacity building across the sector. Catherine was awarded the UTS Vice Chancellor's Award for Research Management and Development in 2025.
