TEACHING AND SUPERVISION
As Director of ISF's Graduate Research Program from 2014 to 2022, Chris was responsible for developing and teaching workshops for HDR students on topics including transdisciplinary research and practice, theories of change, futures thinking and research design. He offers an annual workshop on cross-disciplinary research supervision to HDR supervisors through the Graduate Research School.
As ISF's first Associate Director Learning and Development, Chris has led ISF's embrace of teaching alongside its traditional focus on research and research training. He led the development of two UTS Open courses, delivered for the first time in 2021: Leading Deliberative Democracy (offered twice) and Doing Deliberative Democracy. He also led the development of a Global Issues Studio subject focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals, delivered as part of the Master of Professional Practice in Research Session 2 of 2022. He supported the development and delivery of a UTS Open course on systems thinking and recently completed the first delivery of an online Sustainability Futures module for the Australian Technology Network of Universities Frontiers Program.
