BIO

I am an electrical engineer specialising in telecommunications and radiation engineering. I joined UTS in April 2011 after nearly a decade as a lecturer at the University of Wollongong. I have taught a variety of subjects in telecommunications engineering, IT and biomedical engineering, including communication protocols, Android programming, satellite communications system and biomedical instrumentation. My main research activities are focused on signal and image processing, Monte Carlo modelling for industrial and medical radiation engineering applications (including nuclear imaging and radiation therapy) and high-performance networks. I work with a wide range of industry partners, from the telecommunications sector to industrial and medical imaging system vendors, and have attracted several million dollars in industry funding.
