David completed his PhD in management at UTS, where his doctoral research focused on: ‘The role of curiosity as a practice in executive strategic decision-making’. The objective of his research was to understand how curiosity, when viewed as a social practice of top management team executives, aids their strategic decision-making. David also holds Master of Management and Master of Business Coaching degrees, a Diploma of Advertising, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Before embarking on his PhD journey, David held various corporate leadership roles requiring the development and execution of key strategic and innovation-driven initiatives across a diverse range of organizations in Australia and internationally, including Singapore, Japan and the UK.

David's main areas of academic interest include the study of curiosity as an executive practice in organizational strategic decision-making, and the role of practices that support organizational paradox challenges.

Outside his academic pursuits, David enjoys listening to contemporary jazz and classical music, reading, exercising and traveling.
