Diana Marshall is a PhD Candidate in the labs of Associate Professor Bill Söderström and Associate Professor Maiken Ueland of the Australian Institute for Microbiology and Infection, and the Center for Forensic Science in the Faculty of Science, UTS.
Her work focuses on increasing the accuracy of postmortem interval estimations - figuring out when someone has died. She tracks the changes in bacteria on cadavers at the Australian Facility for Taphonomic Experimental Research.
Outside of the lab, Diana is a passionate science communicator, having competed in Falling Walls, FameLab, 3 Minute Thesis and many smaller talks.
