BIO

Dylan Lu received his PhD degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004. He was a Senior Design Engineer at PowereLab Pty Ltd from 2003 to 2006, responsible for industrial switching power supply projects. He was a full-time academic staff member at the University of Sydney from May 2006 to June 2016. Currently, he is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Data Engineering at UTS.

His research interests include designing and developing power electronics converter topologies and control techniques for various applications, particularly addressing power quality and stability issues in ac grids and microgrids, integrating renewable energies and energy storage into the grid, and enhancing the efficiency and reliability of power electronics systems.

He currently serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. He served as Chair of the IEEE NSW Joint Chapter PEL/IES/IAS from 2019 to 2023. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
