Associate Dean (International)
Faculty of Law
BIO
I am the Associate Dean (Internationalisation) at the UTS Faculty of Law, where I lead the Faculty's international strategy, global partnerships, and cross-border academic engagement. Since 2017, I have directed the Faculty's internationalisation portfolio, building strategic alliances with universities, law schools, judicial and legal professional bodies, and government agencies across the Asia-Pacific, Greater China, Europe, and beyond. My remit spans governance, risk and reputational stewardship, revenue-aligned program development, and the design of partnership architectures that position UTS Law as a globally engaged faculty of distinction.
My career in higher education spans more than two decades. I hold a Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws, and PhD in Law, together with graduate qualifications in Business Administration and in Higher Education Teaching and Learning.
My research advances two principal streams. The first is corporate law, the field in which I have taught and published throughout my academic career, with current work examining directors' duties, corporate accountability, and the allocation of responsibility within AI-mediated decision chains. The second is international legal education, an area shaped by my leadership role over the past decade, addressing the internationalisation of curricula, transnational legal pedagogy, and the comparative architecture of legal education across the Asia-Pacific. Both streams are consistently international and comparative in orientation, and increasingly engage with the regulatory, ethical, and institutional implications of artificial intelligence for legal practice, legal education, and corporate governance.
Beyond UTS, I hold honorary and visiting academic appointments at leading universities in China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Germany, and contribute to international scholarly and professional communities through collaborative research, doctoral examination, and invited lectures.
