BIO
I'm a theoretical quantum physicist specialising in quantum phase transitions, topological states of matter, unconventional superconductivity, and quantum spin liquids, with a focus on their manifestations in two-dimensional materials.
My research primarily relies on analytic techniques, particularly diagrammatic quantum field theory, alongside methods from quantum mechanics and group representation theory. These are often supplemented with numerical approaches such as Monte Carlo simulations, exact diagonalisation, and machine learning. I also collaborate with experimentalists to provide theoretical analysis.
Recent research interests:
- Exploring the connection between unsupervised machine learning and quantum many-body theory.
- Applying group representation theory to systematically decompose scanning tunnelling microscopy data.
- Proposing novel transmon qubit designs by making use of unconventional superconducting order parameters.
