DrNam Chu

He is an experienced lecturer and researcher in the domains of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Telecommunications, seeking to contribute my expertise to a vibrant academic community. His teaching philosophy centers on active learning, real‑world problem‑solving, and building strong student‑faculty relationships.

His doctoral thesis, titled “Advanced Machine Learning for 6G Networks”, focused on leveraging machine learning techniques (such as deep reinforcement learning, transfer learning, and meta‑learning) to address emerging challenges within wireless communications. During his PhD studies, he published 12 papers on pretigious veunues, such as TMC, TWC, IoTJ, Proceedings of IEEE, ICC, and WCNC. He is also a co-author of a book chapter, "Potential applications and benefits of Metaverse," published by John Wiley & Sons.  He was the co-recipient of the Computer Networks 2021 Best Paper Award.

He actively contributes to the academic community through my role as the secretary of the IEEE UTS Student Branch, a reviewer and Technical Program Committee member for prestigious venues, such as the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (IEEE JSAC), IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (IEEE TWC), IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (IEEE TMC), IEEE International Conference on Communications (IEEE ICC), and IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (IEEE WCNC).
