With a background in strategic communications and a commitment to helping knowledge move beyond institutions to benefit society, Jackie is an engagement and partnerships specialist who helps extend the impact and reach of academic research.

Jackie brings extensive experience in research engagement and partnerships. She has designed and led national programs that bring universities, industry, government agencies, cultural institutions and communities together to expand participation, attract investment and create lasting public value. This includes by creating capability-building programs, curating events and festivals, producing a wide range of radio features and developing websites.

As the UTS Research Engagement and Support (RES) Hub Manager, Jackie leads initiatives that build a connected research culture, foster collaboration, help strengthen research capability and support researchers to translate their work into impact. 

At the University of Sydney, as the founding NSW Manager of Inspiring Australia, the national strategy for public engagement with science, technology and innovation, Jackie worked with hundreds of scientists to transform complex ideas into clear narratives and engaging public experiences. 

She built a statewide network of more than 1,000 partners and leveraged over $8 million co-investment to support major initiatives including Sydney Science Festival, Sydney Science Trail, the Science Tent at Splendour in the Grass, the Innovation Games at Sydney Olympic Park, Science in the Swamp at Centennial Park The Science of Us at the State Library of NSW and This Sounds Like Science at City Recital Hall.

At UNSW, Jackie shaped the brand narrative, built the website and developed the communication strategy for the $280 million Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy. At ANU, she led strategic partnerships and curated a four day program to launch ANU School of Cybernetics.

In other roles, Jackie has delivered national engagement and advocacy campaigns for the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, ASIC and St James Ethics Centre, where she edited Living Ethics for more than a decade. She also managed events, media and communications for the NSW Government, including the NSW Premier's History Awards and the NSW Premier's Literary Awards.
