IMPACT SUMMARY

My rigorous approaches to educational research are aligned with my substantial contributions to providing instructors with an understanding of how to operationalise educational practice and which innovations are effective for specific student groups. Accordingly, I have a consistent track record of disseminating impactful approaches externally, for example, through highly ranked peer-reviewed journals, Accounting and Finance Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) and Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) conferences, and internally including via Learning Experience (LX) Futures Blogs, Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion information, FFYE forums and L&T forums. I have also worked with stakeholders to revise and refine learning tools based on my research-informed expertise. This includes tools to tailor student messaging to large cohorts and facilitate interactive large classes.

My educational research findings have been widely disseminated through mainstream media. This has shaped practices more broadly in the education landscape, including that of high school and tertiary education providers. More widely I have provided expert comment for Times Higher Education, Acuity magazine and 2SER radio.

I have worked with not-for-profit organisations to develop measurement tools to track their performance and better tailor the support of clients and stakeholders, elevating the organisation's social impact. This includes measuring the financial well-being and support needed by marginalised entrepreneurs participating in the micro-loan program offered by a not-for-profit financial services organisation. I have also contributed to professional accountant training through program review to provide new members with greater opportunities to establish connections with peers.

My contributions to educational practice have been recognised by awards and citations from Universities Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Business Deans Council, the Office of Learning and Teaching, AFAANZ and UTS.
