BIO

I am Senior Lecturer and Program Director for the Graduate Certificate and Master of Behavioural Economics.

I research how behavioural science can improve the use of artificial intelligence, creating more human-centred AI systems, particularly in financial services. I also research how we can strengthen applied behavioural economics through improved theories and research methods.

I have a PhD from the University of Western Australia. My PhD research focussed on the intersection of economics and evolutionary biology.

Before joining UTS, I co-founded and led PwC Australia’s behavioural economics practice, and built and led data science and consumer insights teams at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). I also worked as a lawyer, environmental campaigner, and an economic policy adviser with the Australian Treasury
