Emeritus Professor Jill McKeough is an eminent scholar in intellectual property law and her published work canvasses, among other things, the development of the digital economy, competition law, indigenous and cultural rights, e-commerce and knowledge management, freedom of information, and access for Australian business and consumers to books, software, entertainment products and educational resources. 

Appointed Dean of the Law Faculty 2005 - 2011, Jill McKeough returned to UTS in 2014 following appointment to the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) as Commissioner in charge of a major review of copyright law, 2012-2013. 

Emeritus Professor McKeough does not take on primary supervision of higher degree students, but may assist other staff and take part in reviews and activities relating to the faculty research agenda.
