FUNDED RESEARCH

Joanne's research interests include developing collaborative school partnerships, teaching as an embodied practice, action research and arts-based research methodologies. She is particularly interested in writing as inquiry forms, such as autoethnography. Her recent book ‘Evocative Qualitative Inquiry Writing and Research Through Embodiment and the Poetic,’ provides an overview of what it means to engage writing as an aesthetic craft to explore what it means to ‘know’ and to ‘be.’ She continues to write creatively within academia to understand the links between academic inquiry and human flourishing.
