MissKaiyi Chi

Dr Kaiyi Chi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Civil, Environmental and Sociotechnical Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She obtained her PhD in Civil Engineering from UTS. Her research focuses on developing safe and sustainable energy infrastructure to support the transition towards a low-carbon future. In particular, she investigates the behaviour of concrete and advanced construction materials under extreme thermal and mechanical conditions, including cryogenic temperatures, freeze–thaw exposure, dynamic loads. Her work combines experimental testing and numerical modelling.

Her PhD research is supported by Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship (RTP) and UTS International Research Scholarship (IRS), and Australian Research Council (ARC).
