TEACHING AND SUPERVISION
Kylie is an experienced educator, having worked in teacher education for many years before moving into a central leadership role. From 2006 to 2012, she was the program leader for the Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Her teaching interests are in assessment design and practice, curriculum and pedagogy, with a particular focus on social constructivism, connectivism and expansive learning as theoretical paradigms for teaching. Kylie is the co-author of a textbook for pre-service teachers: Practical Planning and Assessment (Oxford Press). She has taught in and led a range of professional learning programs, including Foundations of University Teaching, Master of Education courses in pedagogy and assessment, Emerging Leaders programs and sessional staff development activities.
