I am currently working as the Centre Operations Manager for the Global Big Data Technologies Centre in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and have previously worked in the Research Office in Research Grants in both the domestic and international grants spaces. 

Before my adventure into the world of centre management and research grants administration, I have had several roles in research in both industry and academia for more than 20 years across a variety of fields which have included building materials, starch products for food and mining applications, pharmaceuticals, and fundamental polymer chemistry.

I am a fast and flexible learner who enjoys a challenge. I have the capability and determination to take any task through to its completion and my research history has given me the skills to interpret complex information, deal with ambiguity, uncertainty, conflicting timelines, and strong attention to detail.
