My current research examines the use of judicial discretion in sentencing criminal offenders in the District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales and forms the basis of my doctoral research.

My previous research explored the formalisation of guilty pleas within the NSW criminal justice system. Earlier work focused on the application of counter-terrorism laws in Australia.
