BIO
Mr Md Imam Hossain received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering (Research) degrees from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Imam has contributed immensely to the field of engineering modelling and design-based decision-making. His research work laid the foundation for various cutting-edge and complex critical industry projects for future engineering implementations.
Imam has a natural curiosity towards technical aspects, with strong technical communication and management skills. At the age of 12, he started developing computer programs for fun as a hobby. In 2015, he developed a testbed OpenFlow network switch controller for research using a C++ programming model, POSIX socket application programming interface (API), and a distributed network model that has better throughput and latency performance than traditional controllers such as NOX and POX, and designed simplified and robust mechanical components for the Automated Manual Transmission system rig of UTS FEIT Powertrain Test Rig. During the year 2016 and 2017, he developed a novel simulation platform within for numerically simulating multivariables dynamic motion conditions for a UTS industry project. Besides research work, he is a tutor at UTS in various undergraduate mechanical engineering courses.
Imam specialises in the following fields:
* Mechanical design and applications
* Dynamic motion analysis, modelling, and simulation
* Signal processing
* Computer programming languages
* Software architecture and abstraction
* Numerical computer simulations and modelling
* Computer-aided mechanical and mechatronic design and modelling
* Mechanical vibration, kinematic, and kinetic data acquisitions and analyses
* Linux development, Linux-based systems design and deployment
* Distributed and Software-defined computer networks design
* Computer server Front-End and Back-End development and integration
* Programmable devices and system automation
* Computer and mobile networks simulation and virtualisation
* Computer 3D graphics and 3D APIs, and languages
* Game engine programming and game development
