TEACHING AND SUPERVISION
My teaching portfolio and achievements illustrate my skilled, industry centric and collegial teaching approach. My teaching philosophy is practice-oriented teaching, that prepares students for jobs in the constantly shifting IT industry and technology trends in our discipline. I integrate leading research in my field to the classroom, along with industry case studies, so students have access to cutting edge material: both theoretical and practice oriented. I aspire to gather feedback and close the feedback loop in my course design and delivery, ensuring the continuous improvement of subject quality and student experience. My current role is in teaching OPM programs, including the Master of Technology Management (MTM). This provides me the opportunity to make direct impact to industry and reach a diverse and mature student audience. The mid-career students enrolled in my subjects are often mid-level or senior management of organisations, who take back the skills and values I teach them to their organisations, shaping the future of Australian IT industry and society.
I have been coordinating and teaching multiple information systems modules under UTS Online (OPM) portfolio shared across Master/Certificate of Technology Management and Master/Certificate of Business Administration.
