FUNDED RESEARCH

I have a long-standing interest in mycobacterial pathogenesis, particularly M. tuberculosis and NTM species such as M. abscessus, and exploring the intracellular lifestyle and identifying host and bacterial pathways controlling these processes. We also work on defining the host-pathogen interface of viral infections, and in particular the epithelial-immune crosstalk that defines infection outcomes for high-priority pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2, Influenza and RSV.
