BIO
Megan is an urban planning and public policy researcher fascinated by the spaces that shape how we live, move, and connect in cities. From parks and streets to small green pockets and the connections between them, she explores how the public realm influences wellbeing, daily life, and urban vitality.
Through her PhD and work across academia, industry, and advocacy, she investigates how urban greening, open space provision, and strategic policy come together to create healthier, more vibrant, and human-centred cities. she is particularly interested in how high-level visions translate into practical outcomes, and how the interplay between planning, implementation, and lived experience shapes the accessibility, connectivity, and life of public spaces.
By combining policy analysis, research, and on-the-ground insight, her work illuminates how thoughtfully designed and connected public spaces can foster resilient, restorative, and vibrant urban environments—places where people truly thrive.
