BIO
Dr. Ming Li received the B.S. degree in electronic information science and technology and the M.S. degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology from Xiamen University, China, in 2015 and 2018, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Global Big Data Technologies Centre (GBTDC), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, in 2023. Since February 2023, he has been a Research Assistant with GBTDC, UTS, where he is now a postdoctoral research associate. His current research interests include antenna array synthesis, multibeam antennas, reconfigurable intelligent surface, and machine learning based antenna design, for 6G wireless communications.
Dr. Li has puslished more than 30 papers in the flagship journals and conferences inluding IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, etc. He holds five Chineses patents. He serves as a reviewer for a number of flagship journals in the field of antennas and propagation. He has also served as a session chair and given invited talks in several international conferences.
Dr. Li has also been actively involved in tutoring and teaching. He has tutored several UTS courses, including Mobile Networking and Embedded Systems. He is a recipient of the UTS 2025 First and Further Year Experience (FFYE) grant for the program "Advancing Authentic Learning Through Forward-Thinking Assessment in the GenAI Era."

1. Young Scientist Award (4/22 global researchers) at the 2025 URSI Asia-Pasific Radio Science Conference, Sydney, Australia.
2. Best Paper Award at the 2025 IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics, Applications and Student Innovation (iWEM), Hong Kong, China.
3. First Prize of Student Paper (2/30 in finalist) at the 2021 International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Symposium (ACES), Chengdu, China.
4. Best Student Paper Award (first place, 1/24 in finalist) at the 2021 Chinese National Conference on Antennas, Ningbo (NCANT), China.
5. Honorable Mention Award at the 2022 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (IEEE AP-S), Denver, USA.
6. Best Student Paper Award (5th Place, 5/16 in finalist) at the 2025 IEEE AP-S/URSI, Ottawa, Canada.
7. Honorable Mention award at the 2026 IEEE AP-S/URSI, Detroit, USA.
