TEACHING AND SUPERVISION

Mustapha employs a practical approach in the delivery of finance, investment, and portfolio concepts. My pedagogical approach uses live financial data to build financial models in a demonstrative way using Microsoft Excel. Listed stocks, including Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) as well as income-producing residential and commercial properties, are case-studied to inform portfolio investment decisions. Students will learn by doing, and model templates are provided to them for ongoing practice.

This approach empowers students to analyse and monitor the prices, performances, and other financial elements of property and non-property assets over time. It also allows students to relate the concepts covered in class to events and activities in the stock market and property landscape. Overall, students are provided with the tools required to navigate the ever-changing property industry and financial landscape in an interactive learning environment. This would bring students closer to the realities of the financial and macroeconomic environment and enhance their employability skills.
