I do not currently teach at UTS. However, I have co-taught a level one, popular undergraduate subject at Manchester University called 'The Human Planet'. I also co-taught a level 3 UG subject called 'Wildlife in the age of humans'. Iwill soon teach a new subject enttled 'Geographical Controversies'. Much of my teaching has focused on people-environment relationships at a range of scales, both historically and in the present. My teaching draws on geoscience, environmental social science and scholarship from the environmental humanities. I have recently coedited a book about the lives of geographers which focuses on how and why geographical knowledge gets made, and the effects - through teaching and other means - it has in the world. The book is called Making Geography Matter and was published by Routledge in March 2025, comprising 25 chapters.
