BIO

Nora Holmes currently works as a Research Capability and Development Administrator within the UTS Research Office, supporting initiatives that build research capability and excellence for researchers across career stages and disciplines. Her experience spans researcher development, research administration, project enablement and academic research.

 

Prior to moving into researcher capability and development, Nora worked in project enablement within the UTS Research Office, supporting the post-award administration of research projects, research records and data, communications and continuous improvement. She also has a background in cognitive science research and teaching at Macquarie University, where she completed a Master of Research in Medicine, Health and Human Sciences and worked as a Research Assistant and Academic Tutor.

 

Her combination of research, teaching and professional research support experience informs her interest in making research opportunities, resources and development activities accessible and useful to researchers.

 

Nora’s professional interests include researcher capability and development, research communication, research funding and opportunities, research administration, and the development of accessible resources and processes that support researchers.

 

Nora's academic research interests are in cognitive science, particularly memory, associative memory and object-colour binding, multisensory integration, and synaesthesia. She also has experience in behavioural and EEG research, online experimental design and quantitative data analysis.
