BIO

A/Prof. Qiang Fu was the recipients of an ARC Super Science Fellowship (2011-2014) and an ARC Future Fellowship (2018-2022). He is currently leading a research group in The Centre for Technology in Water and Wastewater (CTWW) at University of Technology Sydney with the focus on advanced materials for energy and environmental applications.

He received his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2004 and then completed his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry at Fudan University in 2009 before working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He commenced his research at UTS in Oct. 2019.

 

He has secured over $4M in competitive funding, published 140+ impactful articles, and holds four patents. As Vice-President of the Australasian Practical Zero Emissions Society, he champions sustainable innovation and frequently delivers keynote addresses, cementing his leadership in advancing sustainable solutions for energy and environmental challenges.
