BIO
Dr Rob Bower is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Health at UTS, with a PhD in Sports Engineering and a Bachelor of Education majoring in Physical Education and Mathematics. He also has a Master of Applied Science (Exercise and Sports Science).
Rob’s main areas of research include the design and performance of sporting equipment and in particular, tennis rackets and cricket bats. He is the Deputy Head of School (Teaching and Learning) for the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation, located at the Moore Park precinct in Sydney.
In 2010, Rob received a UTS Teaching Award and in 2011, he received a National Teaching Award (Australian Learning and Teaching Council).
