FUNDED RESEARCH

Sujeewa's research is focused on the applications of precious metals and their alloys and compounds in plasmonics and nanotechnology. Sujeewa is interested in exploiting novel optical functionalities, in particular plasmon resonances, and the study of these resonances. Synthesis of metals, alloys and intermetallic compounds and nanostructures and investigate their optical properties.

Experimental expertise; Physical vapour deposition and thin films, electron beam lithography, ellipsometry, spectrophotometry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, and other materials characterization techniques.
