TEACHING AND SUPERVISION

I have lecturing experience in undergraduate first- and third-year student nurses (UTS and University
of Sydney) and postgraduate nursing and public health students (UTS, University of Wollongong and
UNSW) and midwifery students at UTS (see table below). Students evaluate my teaching highly and
provide positive feedback. I teach from a position of inclusiveness and acceptance,
embracing the richness of Australia’s diverse society, and the differences between and within diverse,
multi-cultural, and marginalized population groups. As a teacher, I provide a supportive, inclusive and
safe learning environment that fosters intellectual, emotional and ethical growth and enables student
nurses to reach their potential to practice as a competent and culturally sensitive non-judgemental
registered nurse and health care leaders of the future.
