BIO
Dr Terry Brown is dedicated to teaching and learning, focusing on students and their learning. He has developed and contributed to many different engineering subjects in the Mechanical Engineering Major. In recognition of Terry's dedication to teaching and learning practices, he has received Faculty and University awards and commendations for his contributions to teaching and learning, including a UTS Learning and Teaching Citation.
Terry completed his PhD at the UTS Faculty of Science, investigating the biomechanics of hip resurfacing. Previously, at the UTS Faculty of Engineering and IT, he completed a Master of Engineering (Research) investigating the impact strength of adhesively bonded boat structures.
His research and consulting activities have been directed towards practical applications, e.g. structural performance of transport vehicles, implants and prostheses.
