Elsie Cheung is the Forced Marriage Project Coordinator at Anti-Slavery Australia, a non-profit legal, research and policy centre based in the UTS Faculty of Law that works to end all forms of modern slavery, including forced marriage.

Elsie joined Anti-Slavery Australia in 2019 and has worked in numerous roles across the centre, including two years with the legal practice supporting people affected by modern slavery in Australia. As a Research Assistant, Elsie had a key role in establishing the National Partnership Against Modern Slavery, organising Australia's first national online conference on modern slavery and engaging with stakeholders on forced marriage education and prevention. Since 2021, she has been working on the national project, 'Speak Now', which aims to prevent forced marriage through education, capacity-building and collaboration with frontline professionals, communities and young people across Australia.

Outside of Anti-Slavery Australia, Elsie has had experience volunteering with people seeking asylum and at various community legal centres. She holds degrees in law and international studies from the University of Sydney.
