Hamish has practiced as a Design and Technical Consultant for over a decade, specialising in Human-Computer Interaction. His professional experience spans multiple industries, including health, urban technology, construction, travel, enterprise technology, transport (rail), real estate, and consumer electronics.
He helps organisations design innovative and usable solutions to complex and difficult problems, while also actively teaching and mentoring teams to help them achieve their goals.
In addition to his work as a consultant, Hamish lectures at both UTS and The University of Sydney in several design subjects. He has contributed to the second edition of Design. Think. Make. Break. Repeat. and has published papers at national and international venues.
Hamish is a Certified Professional and Senior Member of the Australian Computing Society. He is currently serving on the NSW Branch Executive committee.
Hamish is a member of the Interaction Design and Human Practice Laboratory (IDHuP), UTS
Hamish is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, within the Design Lab.
