Dr Wu is a senior lecturer at the School of Electrical and Data Engineering (SEDE), UTS. He received dual PhD degrees from UTS and Xidian University (under a collaborative agreement) in 2020 and 2019, respectively. His UTS PhD thesis was recognised in Chancellor’s List 2020. He joined UTS as a postdoctoral researcher in Dec 2019. He has since been working on joint communications and radio sensing (JCAS), which is identified as a key enabling technology for numerous next-generation wireless systems. Dr Wu has published the world-first authored book on this topic, among other academic achievements.

Dr Wu was awarded Early Career Industry Fellowship by the Australian Research Council.  

His research interests are focused on JCAS, digital/antenna array signal processing, 5G+/IoT physical-layer technologies and embedded system designs.

Dr Wu teaches the undergraduate subject “Introductory Embedded System” (48434) in Autumn sessions and "Internet of Things" (48033) in Spring sessions.
