BIO
Keiko Yasukawa is an honorary associate in the School of International Studies and Education. She specialises in adult education, literacy and numeracy, and lifelong learning. Retiring in July 2025, she has most recently served as a lecturer and coordinator of UTS’s influential TESOL and Applied Linguistics courses. Keiko’s contribution to the professional development of the foundation skills field has been significant, particularly in adult numeracy. Her practical teacher workshops and resources have not only built confidence but also provided a strong theoretical foundation for many educators who may have approached the teaching of adult numeracy with anxiety or uncertainty.
