BIO
Dr Mengjia Wu is an ARC DECRA Fellow at the UTS Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute (AAII). He holds a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Technology Sydney and is the recipient of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) 2026.
Dr Wu has published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, including 16 ERA A*/A, JCR Q1, or CORE A*/A publications across cross-disciplinary fields. His research focuses on the application of network analytics and artificial intelligence methods, particularly natural language processing and graph neural networks, to address problems in information science.
His work has received over 1,400 citations on Google Scholar, with an h-index of 13 as of December 2025. He is also the recipient of the ISSI 2021 Student Travel Award Paper and the HIS 2023 Best Paper Award.
