Sabina Groeneveld studied German Language and Literature, Educational Sciences and Psychology at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. Her MA/Staatsexamen research projects examined cross subject teaching methods and medieval literature.Sabina completed her PhD at the University of Sydney. Her doctoral research analysed private perspectives through letters, diaries and memoirs with a focus on aspects of everyday life and on the construction of belonging within the colonial context of Qingdao between 1897-1914. Her current research focuses on the dynamics within everyday life, Human-Animal-Studies and German Studies.
