BIO

Abigail is a legal researcher and policy professional whose work draws international intellectual property law, global trade, and political economy into conversation with one another. Her work interrogates the structural forces shaping the ownership, control, and commercialization of knowledge in the global economy. 

She currently serves as a Policy and Advocacy Officer with the European Initiative for Gender Inclusive Democracy (EIGID), where she leads and contributes to cross-border policy initiatives, designs capacity-building programs, and engages stakeholders across. Her professional experience spans legal practice, international policy, and interdisciplinary research, grounded in a strong foundation in litigation, legal research, and rights-based advocacy from her experience as a lawyer.

 

Abigail holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and Development from the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management, where she graduated with magna cum laude as a WIPO-KDI Scholar and was twice named to the Dean’s List. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Benin and completed her professional legal training at the Nigerian Law School, Agbani Campus.
