Alicia (she/her) is an expert in gender workplace policy and practice and a current PhD candidate and Quentin Bryce Scholar in the Faculty of Law. Her doctoral research investigates University administration of workplace sexual harassment prevention, using empirical evidence from document analysis and 29 key informant interviews with employer and trade union representatives to understand the way workplace rights affect how complainants are treated. This project contributes to a small but increasing body of research on engaging work, health and safety legislation to prevent and address workplace sexual harassment, and engages with the potential of equality bargaining.

Alicia's professional background is specialist policy and advocacy management in the trade union movement and for large research sector employers, addressing structural workforce gender equality. Interesting projects include policy and legislative reform campaigns; leading policy and advocacy research on gendered experience in STEM workplaces; managing industrial research and strategy for a national equal pay test case in the early childhood education sector.
