I have worked as a senior policy adviser to government ministers across portfolios including: immigration and ethnic affairs, Ageing and disability, Industry science and technology. 

I have leveraged research and data to build business cases and develop evidenced based policy and responses.

1987, History, Philosophy and Politics, Macquarie University. I undertook social research for Urban Politics: Leichhardt: The past, present and Future of the Italian Community in Australia.

1995, Masters Communication Management UTS.  Completed research and Data Analytics component.

1995-1996 Communication Management Project: Mini Thesis: Media constructs of male ethnic youth as gangs. Undertook extensive qualitative and quantitative research on crime, gangs and media perceptions.

In 1994 I conducted the first multicultural HIV/AIDS needs assessments (Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic and Korean) for NSW Health, this led to the development of the Play it Safe campaign.

As a senior policy advisor across ministerial and government I have reviewed and assessed research proposals ranging from the research and development tax incentive, to budget proposals across Industry, Science and Technology. In 2012 as senior policy advisor to the NSW Minister for Ageing and Disability I led the development of the NSW Whole of Government Ageing Strategy https://dcj.nsw.gov.au/documents/community-inclusion/seniors/nsw-ageing-strategy.pdf This strategy still exists today albeit diluted, the intent was to recognise the proportion of Australians ageing in place and moving the discourse from aged care to healthy ageing.

In every role I have undertaken I have applied knowledge from across disciplines including design, data analytics, and technology.
