TEACHING AND SUPERVISION

Facilitating student learning via tutorials and workshops in the following subjects:

• "Designing Sustainable Engineering Projects" - students work together in teams, designing a fictitious energy system for clients looking for a tree change. Constraints such as budget, environmental impacts, social impacts, energy consumption, and energy availability are considered for multi-objective decision making. The design is then verified through high-level modelling. I helped guide students throughout the engineering design cycle, providing technical expertise (with a focus on sustainability) for their solutions.

• "Engineering Project Appraisal" - students incorporate sustainability and systems-thinking into engineering projects. That is, social, environmental, and economic perspectives. I helped facilitate discussion and critical thinking, focusing on the "why" instead of the "how".

• "Mechanical Design Fundamentals Studio 1" - students design and build mechanical/ mechatronic Systems, improving their artefacts iteratively through self-reflection and feedback. Utilising morphological tables, requirements lists, and design matrices for design selection. As a mentor, my role involved guiding students to improve their mechanical design processes, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging systematic thinking.

• “Thermofluids A”- students learn about the theory and real-world applications of fluid statics & dynamics, internal & external flow, and heat exchangers. My role involved solving complex problems with students in tutorials.
