BIO

Georgia Kalogianni is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), based within the Advanced Biofabrication Facility and a member of the Cardiovascular Regeneration Group at both UTS and the Heart Research Institute (HRI). Her research focuses on the development of advanced in vitro cardiac models that integrate 3D bioprinting, microfluidics, and vascularised cardiac spheroids to improve the physiological relevance of preclinical drug testing platforms.

 

Georgia completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Biomedical Engineering and Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice at UTS. Alongside her doctoral research, she contributes to teaching within the School of Biomedical Engineering as an academic teaching assistant, supporting courses in biomedical polymers and molecular biology.
