FUNDED RESEARCH

My research interests include: implementation strategies to promote the uptake of evidence-based care;  promoting long-term health and wellbeing after pregnancy - particularly following complications; virtual maternity care solutions for women with complications, and enhancing the existing systems-of-care to promote an effective transition of care from hospital to primary care.

My PhD research aims to address education gaps amongst healthcare providers regarding the long-term health risks after hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP). Through the implementation of targeted evidence-based education and follow-up after HDP, my work aims to improve the capacity of healthcare providers to implement evidence-based care after HDP whilst also improving the transition from hospital to primary care for women in the postnatal period.

I am particularly passionate about optimising the privileged and valuable opportunity afforded to midwives and healthcare providers throughout maternity care. Utilising my diverse skillset, ongoing research and commitment to improving long-term health outcomes for women and their families, I aspire to drive meaningful change throughout the Australian health system.
